It’s time to accelerate the process in the final line for the cultural program of the 4th ESF!!
The methodology we have followed up to now was that we separated the artistic activities into 5 groups based on the homogeneity of each thematic: conjectural art, theatre- dance, music, audiovisual (cinema, television) and architecture- conjectural art.
These groups were constituted by free attendances and their enlargement remains open. For this reason the mailing list culture(@)athens.fse-esf.org is very useful. You are called to enlarge it with people who you know that are interested to participate. All you have to do is send an e-mail that will request to add a new participation.
In the next interval it is necessary to have concrete proposals- attendances, in order to be able, within one-month approximately, to organize the final presentation of different artistic events in the area where the 4th ESF will take place.
Instructions for conjectural artists (within the next days there will be relevant for the other groups as well):
1. Brief curriculum vitae (studies, date of birth- only).
2. Pictures of one or more works of art (dimensions, materials, date).
3. If the project will be materialized especially for the event, a brief description and its dimensions- if it’s a two-dimensioned work- or if it is a sculpture or a construction, drawings, preliminary drafts and possible final dimensions as well as possible benefits of current, must be sent. Equivalent description is needed for videoarts and performances.
4. Proposals that need more than one artists in order to be materialized are also asked (collective projects). In this case a relatively accurate budget is considered necessary in order to be able to assess the proposal.
5. Proposals, works and cv’s that will be sent must not exceed 5 MB because their receipt will be impossible.
6. Finally, proposals for “pre-festival” events in public places, such as squares, roads etc. in the region of Attica, are also asked.
Designs of stencils, stickers, posters that are relevant to the forum are also seeked.
Everyone that is interested is kindly asked to send his/hers proposals or works (pictures) until the 22nd of March 2006 to the mailing list culture(@)athens.fse-esf.org writing on the title the word ART.
The transportation of the projects and works will be a responsibility of the artists who should be present in order to help on the construction of their works in the place that will have been predetermined.
